For some odd reason, when a Japanese game gets released in the states, they often change the cover. I’m guessing most of the time it’s marketing purposes, but I don’t see it boosting sales that much. Plus, Japan normally has better box art anyways.

Look at Atelier Rorona for the PS3. Honestly it’s not great art, but it shows what the game is and who it’s about. Kind of girly though, and little kidish, who is not the target audience. But look at the American art.

It’s worse. Like it normally is

Arc Rise Fantasia is a generic group shot. The change must of helped, right?

No, it’s just another Generic group shot. Why the change?
Oh, and there’s plenty more.

Why does Japan get Zelda on the cover, But we don’t?

The Japan version looks so much better, the blue tint sucks, but the black one is great.

Their both good, but Japan still wins.

I’ve always seen Kirby as a more happy person.

They didn’t even bother with the American version. It’s bland, and it sucks. A lot.
For the most part, Japan has better box art on their video games. I don’t know why, but they do.
But not always….
