Here we go again…

Yes, I am back! And today I would like to direct you to another blog, operation Rainfall.

http://oprainfall.blogspot.com/

Operation Rainfall is trying to get Wii JRPs brought to America. The 3 games in question are Monolithsoft’s Xenoblade, Mistwalker’s The Last Story and Ganbarion’s Pandora’s Tower. The campaign for Xenoblade is going well, as it is the top selling game on amazon, and it hasn’t even been announced for America yet.

New Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Trailer

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword info at E3 was nice, but it was botched. The graphics were a mix of TP and WW, and the game didn’t function properly on stage. However the new trailer seems to show the graphics to be their own.

The game looks amazing. More updates will follow, and expect posts more than once a week.

Little King’s Story is a Must buy Wii game

Little King’s Story is a game I passes up last year. A lot of people passed it up. And it was a huge, huge, mistake. When people say the Wii has no good games, they are 100% wrong. They have not played Little King’s Story.

Little King’s Story is a very unique game. The graphics seem kind of childish, but the story is really deep. You are the king, and you strive for world domination. Ok, the story is straightforward, but it works.

The game plays like Pikmin meets Harvest moon. You control the King and take your minions into battle, build stuff, and a bunch of other stuff such as searching for treasure. You start with a small kingdom, but soon you attack nearby kingdoms and expand your kingdom. It’s as addicting as Pikmin, with all the fun.

Unlike Pikmin your loyal subjects are not expendable. You do not want them to die. You want to take care of them somewhat, and keep them at least happy.

Little King’s Story Is one of the most original games in years, and deserves more recognition than it gets. BUY IT.

Super Mario All-Stars Wii heading to Japan, hopefully America

Super Mario All-Stars is by far one of the greatest collections of games ever. It is a collection of Super mario Bros 1-3, containing both the American and Japanese version of Mario 2.

However, it comes with more than just games. It also comes with a history of Mario book. It covers the entire history of mario, from the beginning till now. But that’s not all folks. It comes with a CD, packed loaded with all your favorite mario tunes from Super Mario Bros all the way too SMG2.

This had better come to America, as it is a must for any mario fan or collector. Sure, you probably Own all the games on the disc at least twice already, but It’s always worth buying again. Let’s hope in comes to America!

Kirby’s Epic Yarn and other release dates.

Today Nintendo has released their release schedule for the rest of the year, and it looks nice.
Wii

New Carnival Games: September 21
Samurai Warriors 3: September 27
Wii Party: October 3
NBA Jam: October 5
Just Dance 2: October 12
Kirby’s Epic Yarn: October 17
PokePark Wii — Pikachu’s Adventure: November 1
FlingSmash: November 7
Sonic Colors: November 16
Donkey Kong Country Returns: November 21

The Wii has a pretty nice line up this holiday season, with 3 games in particular that look really fun. Kirby’s Epic Yarn, of course, is the game I’m looking forward to the most this year. The game looks awesome. Also, sonic colors is bringing Sonic back to his roots, which is nice.

Also, after about 15 years, Donkey Kong Country Returns, in Donkey Kong Country Returns. The DKC games have always been fun, and this one looks no different.

DS

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future: September 12
Pokemon Ranger — Guardian Signs: October 4
Final Fantasy the Four Heroes of Light: October 5
Art Academy: October 25
Rock Band 3: October 29
Mario vs. Donkey Kong – Mini-Land Mayhem: November 14

The DS does not have as great of a line up, but maybe that has something to do with the 3DS. With only 1 prominent game dated in November, I’m going to guess the 3DS will be out in November of this year.

Overall, Nintendo has a strong holiday season line up, especially if the 3DS comes out soon.

Sonic Colors will rock.

I’ve been skeptical, wanting a good 3D sonic game but knowing it won’t happen. But this trailer has everything I want in a sonic game.

This is Sonic. It’s fast paces with no lull in the action. Also, you see some of the powers in the video. They looks very helpful, and will add a puzzle element without losing the speed at all.

Plus. the music is overly cheery and annoying, but I still somehow enjoy it. This is how 3D sonic should be, and on the Wii. And not anything like sonic and the black knight. So, November 16th the game comes out, and I’m ready for a good Sonic game.

At last.

Ōkami Review

If you do not own Ōkami, get of the computer, go to your local game store, and buy it. Right now.

Now that you own the game, you will realize it is one of the greatest games ever made. In the game, you play as Amaterasu, the sun god, but in wolf form. The game takes place in Japan folklore, and is really well done. Without giving too much away, their is an impeding evil coming, and you must stop it at all costs.

The game play is very similar to Zelda, as it borrows a lot of elements from it. However, to solve puzzles and defeat enemies you use your Celestial Brush techniques. Yes, you draw in this game, lines, circles, everything. It is a very creative Idea, and works very well. Battles are fast paced, and puzzles challenging. Throughout the game you unlock new Celestial Brush techniques, which brings about more puzzles.

Just like Zelda games, the World is pretty open, but the story linear. Their are however plenty of side quests as well. Also, the Graphics are amazing. Amazing. This game is on the PS2 and WII, which neither of are in HD. Still, the graphics of this game rival anything HD can do. The PS2 version is much better, simply because the motion controls of the Wii can be annoying sometimes.

So the question is, is this Zelda rip-off better than Zelda? It’s got better graphics, a much deeper story, and the game play is just as fun as Zelda. While in my opinion It IS BETTER than most Zelda games, even if you disagree you will still love this game. So go buy it. Now.

score- Better than all Zelda games other than Wind Waker/10

Nintendo at E3 today.

Nintendo Is hardcore again, after today’s E3 press conference, its easy to see why. They had surprise after surprise, and didn’t stop until they were done.

It started out with Zelda:Skyward Sword. The demo almost ruined everything. The controls didn’t work, and the graphics were bland. It was actually a really bad start to the conference. It’s not coming out till 2011 so they have time to fix it, and i’m sure they will, but It really was a bad showing. Very bad, really.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 review

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a great, great game. It takes what makes the first one awesome, and makes it even better. This is almost impossible, seeing as Galaxy 1 was such a great game.

This time, their is no overarching story. Peach is kidnapped, you must save her. Easy. And this time your hub is a giant planet, much easier to maneuver on. But what really makes this game great is the levels.

http://kusohappens.com/playing/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Super-Mario-Galaxy-2-E3-2009.jpg

The levels are ALL creative, detailed, and long. Most stages have a boss, which makes the game harder, as these bosses are not easy. Some are, but others will take you multiple tries. The enemies in this game are abundant, and all of your favorite enemies are back, Goomba’s, Thwomps, Bullet bills, everyone. Every level gets harder and cooler as the game advances. Ice levels, lava, desert, it has them all.

The challenge has been ramped up in this one, and to collect every star you need real skill. Their are many secret stars to find, and make the game even more challenging. Plus, Yoshi makes the game so much funner. Yoshi is just as awesome as always, and so fun to use. Also, the power ups are fun too. Fire-flowers return, as well as new additions cloud and rock suit. These new power ups are great, and really fun to use. Their creative and new.

The Controls are fine as well, and the ONLY MINOR complaint I have is some camera angles are sometimes bad. But that’s just nitpicking.

10/10

Great fun.
