Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked: The first good 3DS game?

Yes and no. It’s true that all of the 3DS games that have come out so far are meh at best, but on June 28th, 2 great 3DS games come out. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked and Cave Story 3d. There’s only one problem. They are both remakes. However, both are great games, and both are worth getting in 3D.

Everyone knows CaveStory as it is a masterpiece. But Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor from Atlus is a bit less known, but also pretty awesome. And this remake adds a lot of new endings, so it will be worth picking up.

With updated Graphics, sound, and voice acting, Devil Survivor is a must buy 3DS game. If you own the original, it’s not a must, but otherwise it is.

In other news Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 has been announced for the DS. Atlus is still making new games too…

Should you get a 3ds at launch?

The 3DS is going to be a great system for sure. But is it worth getting at launch?

Yes, and no. Let’s look at the launch titles:

The 3DS launch games really are sub-par. Nothing here stands out, it all seems like crap. The DS had the same problem in 2004. However, the 3DS will have good games by the end of the year. By the end of the year, we will have Mario, Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Cave Story, And dead and alive, along with others.

If you plan to get a 3DS, you may as well pick one up at launch, however if this is not possible, don’t fret. You won’t be missing anything big for about the first month. So while the 3DS will be amazing, the first month or 2 may not be.

$250 in America, released on March 25. About what was expected. It’s a bit expensive, but not too bad for the technology. No launch titles yet, but 30 games will come out between March 27 and E3. So not too bad.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn and other release dates.

Today Nintendo has released their release schedule for the rest of the year, and it looks nice.

The Wii has a pretty nice line up this holiday season, with 3 games in particular that look really fun. Kirby’s Epic Yarn, of course, is the game I’m looking forward to the most this year. The game looks awesome. Also, sonic colors is bringing Sonic back to his roots, which is nice.

Also, after about 15 years, Donkey Kong Country Returns, in Donkey Kong Country Returns. The DKC games have always been fun, and this one looks no different.

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future: September 12

Final Fantasy the Four Heroes of Light: October 5

The DS does not have as great of a line up, but maybe that has something to do with the 3DS. With only 1 prominent game dated in November, I’m going to guess the 3DS will be out in November of this year.

Overall, Nintendo has a strong holiday season line up, especially if the 3DS comes out soon.

Top 10 3DS games I am looking foward too

10- Resident Evil Revelations.
I’m not a huge Resident Evil fan, but the games are good. Plus, being in 3D could make the game a lot scarier. It could be very fun, and most likely will be, as their have been no bad RE games yet.

9.Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

I love Street fighter. It’s fun, fast paced, and a great fighter. And now it’s going portable, in 3d. Sure its a remake, but it looks good.

8-Dead or Alive 3D
Dead or Alive is a fighting game that hasn’t been to big in recent years, but it seems it is making a comeback. While the older games weren’t amazing, they were good, and It piques my curiosity.

7- Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy
The AC games on the DS weren’t that good, because the DS wasn’t that powerful. But the 3DS is much more powerfull, so this should be a good game.

6.Animal Crossing
It’s animal crossing. Fun, but done 3 times already. Hopefully it brings something new, but it will still be fun.

5- Shin Megami Tensei

What SMG game is it? I don’t know? No one does. But SMT is always fun, so I want it.

4-Contra franchise
I love Contra. It’s hard, but fun. And now it’s in 3D.

3- Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D “The Naked Sample”
Now I can’t wait for this game at all. A Metal Gear game on Nintendo for the first time in a long while. Plus, the MGS series is great, and always fun.

2-Mario Kart
Mario Kart is fun. And every system needs it, and the 3DS is no exception.

1.Kid Icarus: Uprising
A retro game series being revived, and on a brand new system. And the trailer looks awesome, and I want this game more than any other at this time.

So that’s the list. The 3DS looks like a great system.

Nintendo at E3 today.

Nintendo Is hardcore again, after today’s E3 press conference, its easy to see why. They had surprise after surprise, and didn’t stop until they were done.

It started out with Zelda:Skyward Sword. The demo almost ruined everything. The controls didn’t work, and the graphics were bland. It was actually a really bad start to the conference. It’s not coming out till 2011 so they have time to fix it, and i’m sure they will, but It really was a bad showing. Very bad, really.

New 3ds rumors, from good sources

Yes, their is much new info about the 3DS, and from a good source. Game developers. While just a mock up, this is what the 3DS is expected to look like.

Yes, the top screen looks much bigger than the bottom screen, which may or may not be bad. The bottom screen is still a touch screen, so that’s good. Also, I think the top screen is too big. It may not be bad, but we’ll see.

Also, it will have an analog stick, as seen in the picture. Its a lot smaller than ones on consoles, but it works. And having that and a D-pad is really good. It lets more ideas be able to be made, and lets games use one, the other, or both. And a touch screen. and 6 buttons that can be used.

I’m liking the 3ds more and more.

3DS To be HD?

New reports are saying that the 3DS will be in HD and much more powerful than originally thought. It will not, as most people had thought, be using the TEGRA chip. It will be using something much more powerful. It will be more powerful than the Wii, and from what their saying almost as good as the PS3 and xbox 360.

Ya, right. But still, it will be more powerful than the Wii, and most likely in HD.

And where is this info coming from? Developers developing 3Ds games. Well, it’s as good a source as you can get.

Plus, the new codename is Nintendo CTR. What could it mean? hmm….

MvC3 Trailer, 3DS This October?

Why yes, today we got updates on 2 very awesome stories I have been following. The first is Marvel vs. Capcom 3, now officially announced for the PS3 and Xbox for a 2011 release. And a trailer as well.

Well, this game looks Epic beyond belief. There is no way this game can be bad, and it will have at least 30 characters.

The 3DS is now expected to come out this October. While not official, many trusted sources are saying it will. We’ll most likely find out at E3.

Yes, 3 years ago, rumors were flying that a Halo DS were going to be made.

And now, it is, for the 3DS. A representative from Microsoft explained the decision.

“We wanted a Portable Halo for a while now, but none of the current portable Systems had what we wanted. With the 3DS coming out, we have gave bungee the Okay to go ahead with it. I’m looking forward to Nintendo and Microsoft’s forst collaboration.”

There is only one other thing we know about it at this time.
