Instead of saying I’m going to start blogging again, I’m just going to do it. We all know what happens when I say I’m starting back up again.
“From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put.”
-Sir Winston Churchill
I love Churchill, and the only complaint I have against him is he’s British (I need at least one complaint). And of course, like most politicians, he has some great quotes. This is a quote sure to drive and grammar Nazi nuts, which is always fun. If you know any grammar Nazi’s, show them this quote.
“There are a terrible lot of lies going around the world, and the worst of it is half of them are true.”
I love contradictions, and this is a big one. Is it true, no, but yes. Figure it out yourself.
“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
Hitler proved this was not true at all. Before world war 2, everyone tried to appease him, and look what happened. Moral of story, don’t feed the crocodiles, ever.
“For myself I am an optimist – it does not seem to be much use being anything else.”
But being pessimistic is more fun.
